Nunc Labora is a plugin for IntelliJ IDEA and other JetBrains IDEs. It records time per project on its own while you code. The data stays on your machine. There is no account and no cloud. When the work is done, it turns the hours into billable timesheets and invoices for freelancers.
What it does
- Automatic recording. Time is recorded per project while you work in the IDE.
- Idle detection. When you come back, keep, discard, or reassign the idle time.
- Branch and ticket. Picks up the Git branch and ticket or issue numbers such as JIRA-123 or #42.
- Status bar. Shows whether recording is on. Click it to see the current project, branch, and time.
- Welcome and Records. A Welcome dashboard with today’s and this week’s totals, and an editable table of records.
- Pause hotkey. Stop and resume recording from the keyboard.
- Customers. An hourly rate, currency, and tax for each customer, with projects linked to customers.
- Cap warnings. A warning when you pass a daily or weekly limit.
- Notes from commits. Record notes filled in from your commit messages.
- Reports and invoices. Reports, CSV export and import, and invoices. Mark time as invoiced, and invoiced records are locked.
- Your files. Plain, human-readable YAML files on your machine, with backup and restore. Optional sync between machines through a private Git repository you choose.
