intellego
Full Agentic is the project, then Execute
Premium. New Intellego Project copies an official skill into a real tree. The Agentic tab runs grok headless in the project. Intellego is the cockpit. xAI bills the model.
File → New → New Intellego Project… is also Welcome → New project, and on the Grok Assistant menu. Without a license the item stays visible, with a lock. The wizard asks for a name, a folder, a JDK (17 or newer), and one official skill.
IntelliJ plugin copies that skill’s tree: plugin.xml, a Hello action, Gradle runIde, the wrapper. Then it opens the folder. The first run of that skill leaves Create git branch off, because opening the project already wrote IDE files. Kotlin Multiplatform (Android + iOS) copies shared, androidApp, and iosApp. Android needs an SDK. iOS needs macOS and Xcode.
The tab
The model starts on grok-4.7. Execute passes -m with the id in the list. This shot uses skill fix-a-bug.md. Auto copy skill is checked, so the input is that file: the bug (expected and actual), the files in scope, a small fix, a test if the project has a suite, and the existing style. Create git branch is checked. A clean git tree gets an intellego/agent-… branch. A folder that is not a git repo is skipped. A dirty tree still stops the branch. Commit, stash, or clear the box.
Before a run, the results pane says Premium users open this tab to create agent-skills/ and agent-jobs/ (you’ll be asked).
Clear, Kill, Add skill, Execute. One job at a time. Ten-minute timeout. While grok runs, the status line keeps moving even when the model sends no new text: elapsed time, and the last activity or child command.
Generation does not start runIde or a sandbox IDE. When a project file changed, a write tool ran, or the agent tries to run tests, Intellego asks Run tests? Run tests is headless ./gradlew test, or check and buildPlugin on a plugin project. Skip ends the job. A done marker with no write and no changed file is a failure, and the test question is not asked.
Headless writes need [ui] permission_mode = "always-approve" in ~/.grok/config.toml. Other settings in that file stay. Welcome shows Allow writes when the key is missing. Execute asks before a run that would be cancelled.
You need Premium, grok on PATH, and a sign-in or an xAI key. A saved key is passed as XAI_API_KEY. Each run writes agent-jobs/YYYYMMDD-HHMM-slug.md.
On some Apple Intel machines, grok -m has exited 0 with an empty pane. The Execute line names the model id.
